'The weather cleared enough for our guests to hightail it to the giraffe house to share the experience with us, totally magical!'
A Belfast couple have shared a look inside their wedding day with their reception held at Belfast Zoo.
At 2.30pm, the zoo mobile arrived to take myself, Gavin, and our photographer Emma Rose around for photos. Little did we know they had arranged a surprise feeding of the giraffes for us, and the weather cleared enough for our guests to hightail it to the giraffe house to share the experience with us, totally magical!
Being neurodiverse ourselves, and as I work as a classroom assistant, the Ability Café soon became a cause close to our hearts as well as our stomachs. JJ, Kyle, and Kieran were so enthusiastic and spent a lot of time with us, getting the menu just right.
Dress shopping was daunting, from getting into the spanx to walking through the door! But the ladies in Wed2B were fabulous. They recognised my nerves and put me right at ease, especially Laura who helped me chose a range of dress shapes and try them on, and my cousin Sara Jane who styled the whole look. Being able to pick everything up in one place and on the day made my life so much easier. The alterations were done by the little shop in Baltic Avenue - again fuss free and local.
