Jamie Webster praised his fans for being 'the most special people to ever exist'
The singer-songwriter played two sellout shows on the Pier Head this weekend at the On the Waterfront festival and thousands braved the rain to see him perform. The concerts were the culmination of a long road to success for the former electrician who gained fame after his version of "Allez Allez Allez" went viral in 2018.
"I keep getting flashbacks of moments and I keep breaking into tears and smiles. To have an army of fans like you stand in front of me and share these moments with is something I don't think I'll ever be able to describe." He added: "For a lad born in Liverpool, you don't understand how mind-blowing it was to be on that stage, in between the River Mersey and the Liverbird, in front of you all - you really don't. I'm in tears writing this because I just can't quite get my head round the fact that it happened."
