The Bully Wee have admitted 'circumstances have changed quickly' since his appointment in May

Jim Duffy has left his post as Clyde's director of football - less than three months after stepping upstairs to the role with the Bully Wee.

Clyde stressed the decision does not affect McLean, who will be in the dugout for today's home league clash wih Peterhead. A statement from the club read: "The club can confirm that, following discussion with Jim Duffy, it has been mutually agreed that he will leave his post as Director of Football with immediate effect."This announcement does not affect Brian McLean’s position as Head Coach, and he will take charge of the squad for tomorrow’s match against Peterhead."

“He was appointed to the role with a long term objective in mind, but everyone in football recognises how quickly circumstances may force a change of direction even though the ultimate goal remains the same.
