Sands' body was found in the San Gabriel mountains in southern California on June 24, after the star went missing in January
Police have said British actor Julian Sands' cause of death is "undetermined", four weeks after his body was found in the San Gabriel mountains in southern California. The 65-year-old had been missing for more than five months after going hiking in the Mount Baldy area before his body was found by hikers on June 24.
The actor was first reported missing shortly after his 65th birthday on January 12 after going for a hike during dangerous changing conditions in the area. Just weeks before the fatal hike, Sands recalled "finding spooky things on mountains" during an interview with Radio Times. He added: "When you know you’re in a place where many people have lost their lives, whether it be on the Eiger or in the Andes. You may be confronted with human remains and that can be chilling. It’s not necessarily supernatural, it’s possibly all too natural – what I would call hypernatural.
