The BBC star, who grew up in Glasgow, has taken a break from television since her dad reportedly passed away early last month.
Laura Kuenssberg has said she's "looking forward to being back" as she returns to her Sunday morning programme. The BBC star has been absent from TV screens for a month after her Scots dad Nick Kuenssberg reportedly passed away at the age of 80.
Ahead of her show this morning, Ms Kuenssberg said online she was pleased to be returning. She tweeted: "Looking forward to being back.... thank you very much for all the kind messages in the last few weeks, and to Victoria Derbyshire for holding the fort." Ms Kuenssberg stated earlier this year that her show is in “great shape” and “up in terms of audience” following reports that TV ratings were down following the departure of Andrew Marr, who had presented the BBC"s Sunday morning politics programme for 16 years.
