The retailer reopened on Tuesday at its originalopened to the public at 10am after four years of redevelopment after the blaze in August 2018.A large queue of excited shoppers waited outside the store ahead of the reopening.
The retailer has created almost 300 new jobs at the 'bigger and better' Primark store, including permanent and temporary seasonal positions. The new Primark store features 88,200 sq. ft. of retail space, including Primark’s full range of Autumn Winter fashion and everyday essentials, a brand-new immersive Disney experience, a nail and beauty studio for customers and a new fifth floor space which is home to Primark’s new Home department.
Welcoming the reopening of the Bank Buildings store, Retail NI Chief Executive Glyn Roberts said: “This is a much-needed early Christmas present for Belfast City Centre and its shoppers. The store was always a huge footfall driver for our members and its reopening will be the catalyst for more regeneration efforts and wider change in that area.“Belfast City Centre now has huge potential to be a fun, family friendly destination with a dynamic retail and hospitality offering.
