Ministers are looking into scrapping rules that govern the minimum number of nursery staff that can look after children as part of Liz Truss’s plans to boost growth and kickstart her faltering premiership. The Prime Minister has identified childcare reforms as part of her plans to overhaul what she calls the “supply-side economy” in an attempt to improve productivity.– such as planning, agriculture, business regulation, immigration and financial services – that Ms Truss will announce each week until Christmas in an attempt to reset her leadership.
