Terence Wilson called on criminal contacts overseas as he traded class A and B drugs in huge quantities over encrypted communications platform
A heroin and cocaine trafficker known as 'Sylvester the Cat' fled the country after his lockdown haircut brought the police to his door.
Wilson was found to have also referenced the anniversary of his child's death in 2016 during his communications, while associates wished him a happy birthday on his 35th on April 1, 2020. His messaging evidenced that he had discussed the supply of at least 18kg of heroin, 10kg of cocaine and 220kg of cannabis and cannabis resin. Mr Riding said that Wilson had also 'discussed in detail the importation of drugs from around the world', including references to 'doors' - or importation routes - as well as dummy runs and methods of concealing illicit substances.
Bob Sastry, defending, told the court that his client had suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder linked to the loss of his child. He added: "Of course, I acknowledge that it is a very serious matter."They are an explanation as to how he finds himself where he finds himself. He received aggressive demands that repayments were made and he foolishly went back to what he did in 2014, but on this occasion on a much higher scale.
