M6 traffic is at a standstill
Traffic on the M6 has been brought to a standstill due to a police incident.
Motorists are being asked for their patience after vehicles on the M6 northbound have been stopped while emergency services attend the scene. The incident has occurred just prior to Junction 25. North West Motorway Police issued a brief statement: "Due to a Police incident, we have brought traffic to a standstill on M6 northbound just prior to j25, please be patient."Traffic monitoring website Inrix reports that queues are already forming.
It said: "All traffic being temporarily held and queueing traffic due to police incident on M6 Northbound at J25 ."More traffic updates from around Lancashire
