Tragic. RIP
A man died in hospital after BMW crashed and caught fire on the M6 near Lancashire, police have confirmed.
Police, firefighters, paramedics and National Highways officers arrived at the scene and found a BMW had crashed into the motorway's central reservation. The motorway was closed in both directions while emergency services worked at the scene. An air ambulance from Manchester landed a short time later before flying back to base. The fire service said crews tackled a fire in the boot of the car before leaving the scene 45 minutes later., the ECHO reports.
