'All for no seatbelt'

A driver has been arrested for a range of serious offences after being stopped for not wearing a seatbelt.

Lancashire Road Police said the vehicle was stopped on the M61 on Wednesday after the driver was spotted not wearing a seatbelt. A subsequent check found the driver had no licence and wasn't insured. A roadside drugs test also confirmed the driver had cannabis in his system. Officers searched the vehicle and found 'multiple mobile phones and deal bags of drugs'.In a tweet, Lancs Road Police said: "Vehicle stopped on M61 by #MN11 as driver not wearing seatbelt. Transpired driver had no licence."Search of vehicle and driver revealed multiple mobile phones and deal bags of drugs. Driver arrested PWITS.
