A man has been arrested on suspicion of multiple offences after an attack with a hatchet and assault on police in West Belfast.
A 46-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of multiple offences, and was further arrested for assault on police and criminal damage after he spat blood at an officer and inside the police vehicle. "He left following an altercation during which he sustained facial injuries and returned with a hatchet which he used to attack the occupant, causing a cut to his abdomen. Thankfully, this does not appear to be serious.
