The incident occurred earlier today when road policing officers carrying out speeding checks attempted to stop a white Mercedes on Edinburgh road at around 1.20pm.
The car failed to stop and a short pursuit took place before it was then involved in a crash with a van on Carntynehall Road.Cops confirmed the driver of the Mercedes, a 30-year-old man, has been arrested in connection with various road traffic offences and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.spokesperson said:"Around 1.20pm on Tuesday, July 12, road policing officers carrying out speeding checks attempted to stop a white Mercedes car in Edinburgh Road, Glasgow.
