Nottinghamshire Police has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, in line with standard procedure
Police have named a man charged after a pensioner was taken to hospital after a collision involving a pedestrian and a car in Nottinghamshire. An 80-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after the incident on the A60 Doncaster Road near Langold at around 1.35pm on Wednesday, August 16.
Bill Nicholson, 20, has been charged with a series of offences after the collision which happened as police were following the vehicle. Nicholson, of Chichester Walk, Lindrick, has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, theft of a motor vehicle, and going equipped for theft.
