Police have charged a 44-year-old man in connection with a fatal crash that took place in Dumbarton in 2022. Five men were struck by a BMW car with one man dying at the scene.
Five men were working on the grass verge by the road near Lomondgate Roundabout when they were struck by a BMW 3 Series car around 8pm on Monday, 9 May, 2022.
Emergency services rushed to scene where a 59-year-old man was pronounced dead. A 37-year-old man was taken to hospital in a serious condition while three others were taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley and released after treatment.A 44-year-old man has now been charged in connection with the crash and will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.
