Police in Merseyside have launched an investigation after a terrifying incident in which a man was 'shot at multiple times.'
After arriving at the horror scene, a 37-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds to his foot and leg, the ECHO reports.Police believe the victim was chased into the garden by another man, who fired shots at him before escaping. The victim was taken to hospital where he is being treated for his injuries, which are not life threatening.
High visibility patrols have be stepped up in the area to reassure the community, police have said. Police are still hunting for the shooter. "These people should be treated like pariahs, who are not welcome in our communities because of the harm they bring. They have no respect for other members of the public so don't deserve any respect from the communities they inhabit.
