Breaking: Man's body found at Preston car park as police probe 'unexplained' death
Enquiries are under way following the tragic discovery of a body at a car park in Preston this morning.
Lancashire Constabulary officers were called by North West Ambulance Service to Guildhall Street shortly before 6.30am after a man's body was found. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Pictures show a police cordon in place at the bottom of Guildhall Street where it meets Cross Street and officers patrolling the area. The man in his 40s hasn't been named.Police said his death is being treated as 'unexplained at this time'. Enquiries are ongoing.
A police force spokesperson told LancsLive: "We were called by the ambulance service at shortly before 6.30am today after the body of a man was found on a car park on Guildhall Street in Preston. He was sadly confirmed deceased at the scene. "He has been identified as a man in his 40s. The death is being treated as unexplained at this time and enquiries are ongoing".
