The actor also hosted a pre-show World Cup party for the band ahead of their concert in Glasgow on Sunday night.
Lead singer Kyle Falconer took to Instagram to share a picture of him and Compston with the caption: “Thanks to my good pal @mrmartincompston who hosted a nice pre-show #WorldCup party for me and ma squad!A video was then shared on social media showing Compston on stage with the band where he could be heard shouting: “It’s Christmas. Come on The View.”
It was captioned: “Singing our wedding song to my missus on FaceTime in front of that crowd. Love ye kid @kylefrancisfalc.”Following the concert, Falconer thanked fans in a post which said: “Glasgow, I have no words.”One user said it “meant so much” to see The View performing again while others continued to heap praise on the performance.
