There’s a ritual Sophie Wilde turns to when she gets on-set nerves. The 25-year-old finds a corner, takes a deep breath and... listens to Carly Simon’s power ballad “Nobody Does it Better” at max volume. “It’s become standard in my practice,” she says, laughing. It clearly works. The effervescent Ivorian-Australian actor seems unstoppable this year.
This summer, however, sees the release ofAll that and she’s already a fashion favourite. “It was incredible,” she tells me of bagging a coveted seat at Chanel’s a/w ’23 show. Chatting from Sydney, on a rare return home, the bookworm is most energetic when talking about style. Hers is eclectic. “I’m a clothes hoarder,” she says, flashing a cheeky grin when I ask about the crinkly green shirt she’s wearing: “I love to raid my mum’s wardrobe.
