Alastair Saverimutto failed to declare two sizeable debts on his vetting form
A Merseyside Police special constable was booted off the force for "dishonestly" failing to declare two debts worth a total of more than £78,000 on a vetting form.
When the form raised concerns with vetting officers, SC Saverimutto confirmed he owed money but claimed he was "in total control" of his finances and monthly outgoings.READ MORE: Woman stabbed boyfriend then claimed she found him 'like that', murder trial hears She noted that SC Saverimutto had also continued to try and hide his debts in subsequent conversations with a force vetting officer.
The officer has also been placed on the College of Policing barred list, preventing him from holding any further policing job in the UK.
