The upcoming Call of Duty reboot includes all 16 remastered maps from the original Modern Warfare 2 game.
has released the multiplayer trailer for this year’s Modern Warfare 3 reboot and as cynical some like to be about Call Of Duty it’s looking pretty impressive.
In the two minute long trailer you can see familiar characters like Captain Price, as well as weapons and many of the old maps, that spark nostalgic memories. It’s unclear which maps will be included in the beta release but it’s also a mystery why they’re all from the original Modern Warfare 2 and not any of the other older games – with Activision offering no real explanation.Zach Hodson, design director at Sledgehammer Games, said they wanted the maps to feel the same way they did in 2009:
