A mum has avoided jail after drunkenly abusing a RyanAir flight attendant who asked her to stop vaping on board the plane.
Horne, of Briercliffe, Burnley, admitted entering an aircraft when drunk, racially aggravated harassment and two offences of assaulting a police officer, but was handed a suspended sentence. “He took her to the back of the plane to calm her down and one passenger offered her his seat so she could sit away from her family, as her partner was also complaining about her behaviour.She continued harassing the man when he removed her vape by taking hold of his jacket, stroking his name tag and saying his name which made him feel uncomfortable.“She called him a ‘f****** c***k’, a ‘c****y b*****d’ and told him to ‘go back home’,” Ms Boocock said.
Horne was arrested upon landing, and was abusive to police. She was still ‘relatively intoxicated’, calling officers “horrible, nasty b*****ds” and was that drunk she was unable to put on her shoes. Horne, a mum of three, was said to have previous convictions for assaults against four other police officers, as well as racially aggravated harassment. In December 2021, she was handed a suspended sentence after failing to provide a specimen of breath when pulled over for drink driving.
