Peter Kay has shared more details about his upcoming comeback tour, which includes a monthly residency at London's O2 arena.
star confirmed his tour will feature multiple dates in the capital, saying:"I'm doing the O2 once a month, I'm doing a residency. There's only been me and Prince who have done it."
Kay's first show in London will be on December 16, with the comedian then returning each month until November 18, 2023. The confirmation of London dates followsDave Hogan/Getty ImagesThe tour, which starts in Manchester, will see the comedian travel across the country to Birmingham, Liverpool, Belfast, Newcastle, Dublin, Glasgow, Cardiff and Nottingham alongside the London residency.
Speaking about the reaction to the tour announcement, Kay, who has stayed away from public life for the past few years, revealed he was overwhelmed by the response. "I cannot get my head round it. I thought we should call this tour Peter Who. I hadn't been around for five years. I thought I'd be on the news when I'm dead not when I'm going on tour," he added.Getty Images
