Shaun Aver's mugshot shows him wearing a sweater littered with logos of the bakery giant Greggs
Members of the public have told police to 'look in Greggs' after the force issued a mugshot of a wanted man.
Police issued an appeal on Facebook and Twitter on Tuesday evening urging anyone who knows of his whereabouts to contact them. What the force's post made no comment on, however, was what Aver was wearing at the time of his initial mugshot. The criminal's Greggs jumper has unsurprisingly led to dozens of people cracking the same joke that he is likely to be found in one of the many bakeries in the North West.
Captioning an alternative map of Greggs stores, someone else said: "Have you tried any of these places? Got a feeling you might find him there."Another added: "Wanted for baking and entering and possession of an offensive jumper."
