England Women's team have just lost out to Spain in the World Cup final, but the team still made history and they have made the nation proud, regardless of the result
Despite losing out in the World Cup, the England Lionesses have done the country proud as they made their first-ever final.England threw everything at the Spanish side, but sadly they just couldn't find a way past the Spanish goalkeeper Cata Coll.
However, the European Champions can still be incredibly proud of themselves for all that they have achieved over the course of the tournament.On Twitter Prince William shared his thoughts, saying: "Although it’s the result none of us wanted, @Lionesses, you have done yourselves and this nation proud.
"Your spirit & drive have inspired so many people and paved the way for generations to come. Thank you for the footballing memories. Congratulations to Spain. W."Celebrity Gogglebox star Rylan was one of the first to tweet as he said: "The @Lionesses keeping it going right to the last seconds. We’re all proud of ya!!!! X."
