Police in Derry are appealing for information after a community facility reported that they had been victims of an arson attack.

It's understood at around 6.20am on December 22 a black wheelie bin had been placed against the window of a property in the Central Drive area and was set alight.In a statement, the PSNI said that the incident was reported to them at around 4:20pm. They added: “Scorch damage was caused to the window frame and the wall.

"Those responsible should consider their actions and the negative impact it has on the local community."
