The PSNI has now scheduled a meeting at which complainants are to set out evidence they believe has not been properly examined

The PSNI has said it will review a decision not to investigate concerns around 20 residents who died in the immediate aftermath of transfer from Valley Nursing Home in Clogher, which was forced to close following a damning inspection.

A PSNI spokesperson replied: “Detectives from the Major Investigation Team reviewed all available information and no homicide investigation will be carried out. A PSNI spokesperson confirmed: “The PSNI has a statutory responsibility to prevent and detect crime and to take feasible steps to protect the lives and safety of persons.

“The act of protecting against harm is principally the responsibility of Health and Social Care Trusts and the PSNI where a crime is alleged or suspected.
