Nottingham pub with 'superb' food closes for good
A Nottinghamshire pub which wowed customers with its gastro food has closed for good. The owners of The Tailors Arms in Wilford blamed the impact of the pandemic and rising costs.
The pub, in Wilford Lane, was known for its Sunday roasts, huge portions of fish and chips and stylish surroundings. It opened in 2018 after a £150,000 revamp of what had previously been the Wilford Green Pub & Kitchen. Diners described the food as superb, incredible and excellent. One said: "We had a Sunday Lunch at the Tailors and it was INCREDIBLE! One of the nicest roasts I’d had in a long time. I’m vegetarian and their veggie option was delicious.
