A rape victim managed to record the assault on her phone. The crucial evidence led to her attacker being jailed for more than five years.
When he was shown the video of the incident in interview, Shaw, of Lawton Street, Burslem, Staffordshire, confirmed it was him in the footage, but said he couldn't not recall what happened and was drunk at the time.He denied raping the victim, but was found guilty by a jury following a six-day trial. Shaw, 32, appeared at Chester Crown Court, where he was sentenced to five years and six months.
