Sad Cat Studios has announced that Replaced has been delayed for a second time and is now expected to launch on Xbox, PC, and Game Pass in 2024.
Replaced now launches into Xbox Game Pass in 2024, Sad Cat admits that"game development is hard. It's also rewarding in its own right, but mostly it's hard." The studio says that the community's expectations have been high since the game was revealed in 2021, and with it being Sad Cat's first game, the team wants"to make every aspect of it the best it can be."
"We want to stress the fact that we do understand the game's scope, and we're very aware of the traps of overpromising and underdelivering. As of today, the game is fully feature- and content-locked. It's fully functional in every aspect and we are in super-intense asset production," Sad Cat says."To give you perspective: the main character has more than 500 meticulously hand-painted animations made just for platforming . We want to deliver as much in every aspect.
The delay now sees Replaced join the likes of Avowed, Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, and more on the list of
