Big changes are coming for BBC's River City

River City is set for a massive switch-up with the popular television show moving to a new multi-series format.

The popular Scottish soap opera, which recently won ‘Best Drama’ at the RTS Scotland 2023 awards, will then take a 10 week ‘on screen’ break over August and September, returning in its new multi-series drama format from October.The current run is set to come to an end on August 9 which will see the life of one character hang in the balance after a dramatic showdown goes horribly wrong. And when it returns in October there will be three new characters and a mini make-over for the set.
