New lease of life pending
Plans to convert a dilapidated barn on the outskirts of Oswaldtwistle into an ‘exceptional’ modern family home have been submitted.
“The proposal includes the creation of a large driveway with parking to the front. To the rear of the property there will be a patio area.“The rear gardens will be planted for enhanced overall site biodiversity. The barn is dilapidated and the open areas are enclosed rough land which is overgrown/poorly maintained like the enclosed courtyard. Historically the barn was part of what was a mutton farm.
“The dwelling has been designed with inclusivity, adaptability and access throughout to ensure people with limited mobility, sight, hearing and learning difficulties can easily access the spaces within and round the dwelling. The proposal includes ample parking at the front of the property, with on-site manoeuvring readily available Due to the positioning of the barn in terms of physical location and with it residing within the Green Belt, a low pitched roof was chosen.
