Armagh defender Barry McCambridge missed last Saturday's six-ponit win over Grange after picking up a knock in the round one win over Lurgan rivals St Peter's
Clann Éireann boss Ruairi Laverty insisted the decision not to play Barry McCambridge against the Grange was purely precautionary and is hoping to have a full panel for this weekend’s final Group B fixture against Granemore.
The prize for topping the group is an extra week off and a place in the quarter-finals. The second and third placed team in group will progress to the play-offs and Laverty is adamant that the Lurgan men want first place.“We were delighted that our game against Granemore is going to be in Clann Éireann because Granemore is another difficult place to go.
Grange gave themselves a lifeline before half-time when Jake Toal scored a major for the hosts, but he was helped off the pitch with a knee injury in the second half while Miceal McKenna picked up a second booking late on as Clann Éireann claimed a 2-12 to 1-9 win. “We’ve been here a few times. It is a small, compact pitch and Grange know how to use it to their advantage."We had a few niggles and a few injuries so we’ve had to use a lot of our squad. They’ve all come in and performed really well.
