Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service will remain at the scene throughout the day
Photos show the scale of a haybale fire that continues to burn in part of Nottinghamshire. The fire in Shelford Road broke out around 5pm on Monday, August 28, in Radcliffe on Trent, with residents warned to avoid the area.
The fire involves a number of hay bales. Three crews attended the large blaze, including London Road, West Bridgford and Worksop. One crew remains at the scene as of 8am on Tuesday, August 29, which is from East Leake. A Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson stated: "The fire is still ongoing and the haybales are still alight.
"We will have crews on the scene throughout the day. We only have one crew there at the minute which is East Leake." Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service also sent three crews to an ongoing fire in Saundby, near Gainsborough. The service is being assisted by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service to tackle the blaze, which is an agricultural fire involving 15 tonnes of grain.
