As we approach the midpoint of autumn, a new study has revealed the top cities across Europe for a fall getaway — and the top 10 includes one Scottish destination.
New research has revealed the European cities most worth exploring over the autumn, and one Scottish destination is featured in the top 10.
To prove this point, experts at StressFreeCarRental.com have ranked often-overlooked destinations using Instagram hashtag data to help travellers plan the perfect short trip away. According to the study, Dundee is the ninth best city in the whole of Europe for an autumn getaway, with 1.2 million Instagram hashtags.
Even if the weather is poor and the skies are pouring with rain, you can still get into the autumn spirit by heading to one of the city's many beloved cafés for a comforting cup of coffee or hot chocolate. According to travel website Tripadvisor, The Flame Tree Cafe is the best coffee spot in the city, with recent visitors calling it "divine" and "tasty".
CEO of StressFreeCarRental.com John Charnock commented: "Whether you’re looking for a romantic escape, catching up with friends, spending time with family, or even a solo break, booking a trip to one of the most beautiful cities come autumn-time is a great idea.
