A mum who left a friend with 20 knife wounds after a brutal murder bid has been jailed for more than five years

Miss McTaggart had gone to wash a glass in the kitchen when the mum-of-two approached from behind and hit her. Prosecutor Lorraine Glancy KC said the victim tried to fight her off.Miss Glancy: "She called her ex-partner, who lived nearby, and said she had been stabbed." Bodwick later told officers the victim was "a mother figure" and denied at the time causing the injuries. She added: "That is something that I would never do. Never in a million years, never."
