Gordon Stirling, 23, died following a collision with a transit van on the A719 at around 5.30pm on Monday, August 14.
Horrified neighbours of a young bus driver whose death is being treated as murder have told of their shock at the tragedy.
One neighbour, who has lived near to the family for over 20 years, said she would often see Gordon heading to work. She added: "He’d pass the windows most Saturdays walking to the Kilmarnock game with his dad. They were both big fans." A spokesperson said: "Kilmarnock Football Club were devastated to learn that dedicated supporter Gordon Stirling had tragically passed away last week at the young age of 23.
She said: "The whole Stagecoach team is devastated about this and we all send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. We are also supporting those colleagues at Stagecoach who knew him.
