The 63 year old introduced this year's Britain's Got Talent champion Axel Blake before the Royal Albert Hall crowd, while he also made an on-stage cameo appearance as host Lee Mack, musician Nile Rodgers and a whole troupe of comedians gathered for a surprise rendition of hit track 'Le Freak'.
This comes after a rare and candid interview he took part in back in October, where Simon admitted that he was "really unhappy" before the arrival of his son Eric. "I was really unhappy. But now Eric is around, I don’t work through the night anymore. If he hadn’t come along, God knows what would have happened."
