The Pelham Hotel in Gawthorne Street is reported to be on fire
Six fire engines have been called to a fire at a closed-down pub in Nottingham. Firefighters are currently attending the blaze at The Pelham Hotel inPhotos on social media show smoke billowing from the pub. In a tweet published at around 8.55pm,told people to avoid the area and said it had advised nearby residents to keep their doors and windows closed.. Please avoid the area and we ask local residents affected by the smoke to keep doors and windows closed.
This is the scene right now at the junction with Whycliffe Street. The road is currently blocked by police. It's been around four years since the pub shut its doors and the last time it featured in the post was in 2018 after a licensing hearing.
