Discussing his experience in the dance off, Matt said it was “emotional” and “nerve-wracking”, and added that the British public had made him feel “incredibly safe.”
“I really feel a deeper connection with this country and the people,” said Matt, who had spent the last 25 years living in the US. “The messages they’ve left for both myself and Nadiya in the last 24 hours have been unbelievable, it’s touched my heart so deeply.” He concluded by revealing how “lovely” everyone had been, saying he was “very grateful” for the chance to partake in the show.
