As we reach the final stage of the Tears of the Kingdom pre-release hype wave, a number of people are already taking advantage and listing some of the game's pre-order bonuses for high prices on auction site Ebay.
at US retailer Walmart. However, despite this scroll being a ‘free’ bonus, a number of people willing to sell on their pre-order are hoping people will pay more than $100 for the game with the scroll to guarantee them their additional bonus.
A number range around the $100-120 mark, with a number of people watching the auctions to keep their eyes on the literal prize. However, we’ve also spotted one from a user named lem_sl putting the items on sale via a Buy It Now listing asking for an eye-watering $199.99 – that’s almost enough to buy the game three times over.
While we doubt many of these listings will get the prices they’re asking for – there is certainly the market for them, given the excitement for the long running series, and Zelda fans who want to own as much memorabilia of the series as they can. The launch is guaranteed to be massive, so you can’t blame fans for wanting to have a little piece of history for the occasion.
