The patch notes for version 1.1.2 were just as brief as the first lot, only mentioning some minor fixes with audio and quest bugs, along with the vague ‘several issues’ note that doesn’t betray too much detail.
Players who have come to rely on the glitch have been advised to head into their Switch system menu and uncheck the auto-update setting for the game to prevent the update from downloading, should they want to carry on using these methods to duplicate items. Otherwise, you’ll just have to play as Nintendo originally intended.
Most of the previous methods required opening and closing the inventory, so that’s believed to be where the fix in question has been deployed – and so those stepping out into Tears of the Kingdom are currently having to obtain items the old fashioned way, while the community keeps their eye out for other ways to make their journey in Hyrule easier.
