Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brought in talented right-winger Amad Diallo mid-way through the 2021/2022 season and he paid an initial £37million for the privilege. Handed some early exposure in the first-team, it was not too long before United - and Solskjaer - returned to the market for Jadon Sancho. Amad, still only 21, showed glimpses of his ability under Solskjaer and was able to put an underwhelming loan spell at Rangers behind him when shining for Sunderland in the Championship last season. On the treatment table with a knee injury right now, his chance could eventually come with United.
Just now Antony, seemingly, has free-reign on the right wing. Competition for his spot is limited while Sancho is battling with Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho on the left, or hoping for a chance as a false nine.
