Consumer watchdg Which? tracked prices of select products in both supermarkets loyalty schemes.
A consumer watchdog has accused Tesco and Sainsburys for "potentially using dodgy tactics" when it comes to the prices on some loyalty scheme products.
As reported by the Mirror, Which? tracked prices of 141 products from both loyalty schemes over a six month period, where it found that a third of the products at Sainsbury's were the regular price less than half the time. At Tesco, it was a quarter 24 per cent of the products it looked at. Another issue found by Which? was that the loyalty schemes were not open to all customers, as age, address and access to technology could lead to them being excluded.
