The court was told how, around 5.15pm on October 17, 2020, police were called to Bartiebeth Road in Wellhouse due to an ongoing disturbance.The 24-year-old used it to damage a hire car that was parked in the street, the depute fiscal said.

Deleney, from Newarthill, was found causing further damage to the car by ripping off both wing mirrors. “I appreciate it was being used for vandalism but to then tell social work it was a piece of glass lying around…”“When I started dealing with him he was a van driver.“He is an especially nervous and anxious person regarding all that is going on.”Deleney was placed on a community payback order with 24 months' supervision and a conduct requirement to engage with addiction services.
