When it comes to cutting down costs, one man put his washing machine to the test to see how much it cost to run the appliances and whether or not there was a better option for those looking to save money.
When it comes to cutting costs, many of us think that the only thing we can do is spend less money such as eating out less and cutting down on how much online shopping we do.
Because of this, people may be keen to know just how much certain appliances cost to run and if there are any ways to help lower the price whilst still getting the job done. The video begins with Mike explaining he'd be using a Samsung Eco Bubble machine that can hold 10.5kg of laundry. After running the numbers, the eco wash was found to be the most cost effective, coming to about seven pence per wash. "The eco wash, as you'd expect is the cheapest to run, using 0.23kw of power, costing less than 7p" he said.
In the comments, people were left impressed by Mike's findings, with one person saying: "Wow that's a huge difference", and another hailing the savings as "very impressive".
