Two months on since the world lost music legend Tina Turner, her family and closest friends have laid the Grammy award winning singer to rest at a private cremation ceremony

Two months on since her tragic death, Tina Turner has finally been laid to rest in a private service in Switzerland attended only by her closest friends and family.

One popular theory is that she may follow in the footsteps of her firstborn son Craig, whose ashes were scattered in the Pacific Ocean back in 2018, after he tragically took his own life. However as Tina’s wishes have been shrouded in secrecy, she may instead have opted for another poignant alternative.

The much loved musical sensation died on 24 May, after battling a long illness. Aged 83 at the time of her passing, the Grammy award winning singer’s death sent shockwaves around the world as fans and fellow musicians alike mourned her heartbreaking death. "With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow. Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music," a post on her official Facebook read. "All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you dearly.”
