Alan Lawson, 36, died in hospital two days after he was discovered seriously injured at his home in Saltcoats, Ayrshire.

A maniac who brutally tortured a man has been seen roaming the streets while murder cops continue their hunt to find him.

Officers are yet to make an arrest, but locals in both Saltcoats and Largs say the attacker has been moving around the area and staying with friends to evade cops. Terrified residents say he was seen on CCTV on Glasgow Street in nearby Ardrossan on Friday afternoon. The source continued: “Police are reacting too slowly to tips. They have been made aware of the CCTV from Friday.

It has also been claimed that the attacker was released from jail six months ago following another brutal attack, which allegedly left Lawson in a coma.
