The communications error brought services to a standstill for an entire day
NET has issued an update after a 'significant' communications fault brought trams across the network to a halt on Thursday . NET was unable to operate any of its trams across the county throughout the day due to the issue.
However, trams are now back up and running as of Friday morning, August 18. In an update NET said: "We have now resolved the communication issues and our trams are in place ready to commence our services from this morning. Please remember, we have planned track works taking place between August 18 and 31."
It comes as two weeks of engineering work begin on a busy section of the network on Friday, between Old Market Square in the city centre, and Wilkinson Street. This is while tracks and points are replaced around The Forest.A dedicated replacement bus will operate between the two stops until the completion of the works on August 31.
