106 services have been cancelled today so far.
Transpennine Express is urging its customers not to travel today due to a major system error with its staffing rota.
So far, Transpennine's website shows 106 cancellations on routes across Yorkshire and the North of England. Further severe disruption is also possible across the network. This is due to an error with the company's rostering system, which has led to unplanned cancellations. As a result, the company has urged customers not to travel with them today and to seek alternate modes of transport. They also recommend you check their website to ensure any trains you plan to catch are still running.
"We are working hard internally and with our system provider to resolve the situation as soon as possible. We are doing all we can to keep customers on the move but while problems persist, we advise customers not to travel and to seek alternative means of transport.”
